An apartment designed for a couple under 40 with three children of different ages. The designer’s task was to create a stylish, high-end renovation in a contemporary style in keeping with current trends. At the time, Art Deco was particularly popular. In its pure form, the style is rich in detail, massive, and luxurious, so the decision was made merely to hint at Art Deco’s opulence. Elements such as columns were ideal for this purpose. Originally, the apartment had load-bearing columns with a standard shape; we gave them a rounded base, coated them in black lacquer, and decorated them with gold and silver mosaic.
The apartment is divided into two zones. One large kitchen–dining–living area of 100 square meters. A substantial dining set by Baxter, crafted in leather, paired with a chandelier from the Dutch lighting studio Brand Van Egmond, adorns the interior, emphasizing the apartment’s elegance and status.
Select interior elements from the Italian manufacturer Florence Collection, featuring noble dark wood and leather, contrast with the light-colored walls and other interior details, further highlighting the exclusive nature of the materials.
